Hi, I’m Gabriela,
Gabi for short.
A creative being.
Ever since I was a kid, my favorite thing in the world was making beautiful things. No fancy house, no cool toys, but plenty of fun making clothes for my dolls, drawing everything in sight, and turning trash into toys. Boredom didn’t stand a chance.
By age 11, I was already playing with Photoshop and creating graphic design pieces for school projects without even knowing that’s what it was called. Somewhere in there I also picked up oil and acrylic painting, fell in love with makeup, fashion, and singing. Basically, if it was creative, I was in.
Fast forward through a Graphic Design degree at one of Brazil’s biggest universities (UNESP), 7 years of studying everything design-related.
Around that time I also helped to co-found a Fab Lab focused on digital fabrication and DIY education. We ran workshops, events, and even partnered with SESC and MIT for an event in 2017. Not bad.
After graduating in 2019, I dove into branding, graphic design for marketing and sales, illustration, and photography, building the experience and eye that brought me to where I am today.
Now I’m focused on elevating brands that are already doing great things and just need the right design choices to grow even further. And if you’re building a team and looking for someone who genuinely loves what they do, I’d love to be part of that too.
Today
I’m based in Calgary, working remotely and internationally, living with my spouse and two cats.
